Stage Aurora and MOCA Jacksoville presents Sinner Man

Inspired by the painting "Sinner Man" By Benny Andrews, SINNER MAN musically blends American Negro Spirituals, Gospel, Blues and Show tunes all performed a capella! Show casing the emotional journey of a man's life through the human experience. Through four scenes, SINNER MAN depicts four different men confronted with sins they have committed. Each man has committed numerous sins as one sin unwittingly leads to others. Each man is confronted about the sins he’s committed and/or seduced into committing acts of sin by the men and women in his life such as his wife, parents, and/or neighbor. The play with a blend of American Negro Spirituals, Gospel, Blues, and Show tunes, all performed a cappella reflects the old adage “To err (sin) is to be human…” It is an ongoing cycle of the human experience. SINNER MAN rocks off the stage into your heart bringing this painting to life before your eyes!.
